iCall Dialer

Last updated: 10 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Etisalcom W.L.L ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the iCall mobile application ("the App"), a SIP/VoIP calling app for iOS and Android. The App is used with calling accounts provisioned by us or our partners.

1. Information we collect

  • Account & sign-in data: your SIP username, SIP password, and server/domain. Credentials are stored encrypted on your device and on our gateway solely to register your line and route your calls.
  • Call & message data: to connect calls and messages we process signaling metadata (caller/callee numbers, time, duration, call status) and maintain call/message logs for routing, troubleshooting, and billing. Call history is also stored locally on your device.
  • Microphone audio: captured only during a call to transmit your voice. We do not record or store your call audio on our servers. The optional in-app call-recording feature records to a file stored only on your device; we do not receive it.
  • Camera / video: captured only during a video call to transmit your video to the other party. We do not store video.
  • Contacts: if you grant permission, the App reads your device contacts on the device to show names and let you dial them. Your contacts are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Push notification tokens: to alert you to incoming calls and messages when the App is closed, we store a push token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) or Apple Push Notification service (iOS).
  • Device & diagnostic data: app version, device model, OS version, and limited diagnostic logs to keep calls reliable.

2. How we use information

To register your line; place, receive, and route calls and messages; wake the App for incoming calls; provide call history; bill and show balances/rates; and diagnose and improve reliability.

3. Permissions we request and why

  • Microphone — voice during calls.
  • Camera — video during video calls.
  • Contacts — on-device name lookup and dialing.
  • Phone / call management — to place and manage calls.
  • Notifications & full-screen intent — to ring you for incoming calls.
  • Bluetooth — to route call audio to a paired headset.
  • Foreground service (phone call / microphone / camera) — to keep an active call connected in the background.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Our telecom carrier / SIP network, to connect your calls.
  • Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Apple (APNs), to deliver call/message notifications.
  • Service providers acting on our behalf, and authorities where required by law.

5. Data retention

Call/message logs and billing records are retained for 2 (two) years in accordance with the regulations of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Push tokens are retained while your line is active and removed when you sign out or the token becomes invalid. On-device data (contacts access, call history, recordings) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.

6. Your choices & data deletion

You can revoke microphone, camera, contacts, or notification permissions in your device settings. You may sign out to remove your account and push token from the device. To request deletion of your account data held on our servers, contact ts@icall.ing. We will action verified requests within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain under Bahrain TRA regulations for the 2-year retention period stated above.

7. Security

We use TLS-encrypted SIP signaling, encryption of stored credentials, and industry-standard safeguards to protect your data and recordings from unauthorized access.

8. Children

The App is not directed to, and is not intended for, anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Open-source software

The iCall mobile applications are open-source software, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 (GPLv2). They are built on the PJSIP / PJPROJECT library (© Teluu Inc.), used under its GPLv2 terms. The complete source code is available at:

10. Governing law

This Privacy Policy and any matter relating to it are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
